Philosophy that
Guides Us.
Through our culture, we create energy, excitement, and alignment for our Mission, Vision and strategy execution and bring STARTEAM GLOBAL closer to our customers. Our culture aims at breaking down silos, creating true collaboration across functions, geographies, and hierarchies and guide with a unified leadership behaviour.
Our mission describes why we exist besides making money and what we are deeply passionate about. We are in the ‘connection business’ because the products and solutions we offer to our customers help create connections within their products.
Reliability of these connections is fundamentally crucial and providing more reliable connections than anyone else is our competitive advantage. The concept of ‘Reliable Connections’ is not limited to our products and solutions but extends to the human level as well.
We care about building reliable connections with each other, with our customers and suppliers and with society at large. We passionately care about making the world a more connected place for everyone’s benefit.

At STARTEAM GLOBAL we seek and train for leadership behaviours and skills that drive superior performance and build strong and resilient teams.
We understand the value of a leader being determined not by the individual person, but by the success of the leader’s entire team. For effective leadership at STARTEAM GLOBAL, we have therefore selected the following 8 competencies to be of utmost importance for every of our leadership levels.
We Are Socially
Responsible.

Jacob-Hoeft Foundation – A time to Give!
Since its foundation, STARTEAM GLOBAL (formerly CML) has grown steadily and successfully, as has our corporate commitment to society. We don’t just talk about helping others, we also act and actively contribute by supporting people in need, through our Jacob-Hoeft Foundation. The vision of the Jacob-Hoeft Foundation is inspired by one of the core values of the company – Responsibility. This means that we are committed to social engagement for people in need. The two CML founders Klaus Jacob and Günter Hoeft already realized this vision in 2005 with the establishment of the former CML-Europe Jacob-Hoeft-Stiftung. Since then, the foundation carefully selects every year which social projects we support, showing how important such a commitment is. In accordance with our Foundation’s purpose, we support or promote projects especially in the areas of:
- Youth welfare / volunteer groups & association activities.
- People who are dependent on help due to their physical or social situation
- Support of care facilities such as nursing and family centers
- Environmental protection organizations

The Karlsruhe Association for the Help of Mentally Ill Children and Adolescents (“Associations”) has set itself the goal of helping children and adolescents who are struggling with mental illness and are at the end of inpatient psychiatric treatment. These children and adolescents often suffer from depression, anxiety, compulsions, ADHD, eating disorders, autism and psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia and are accompanied and supported by the Association on a daily basis by experienced psychologists.
We appreciate the commitment of the Association very much, so it is a great honor for us to support the Association and to make the children’s everyday life easier.

Breitengrad e.V.: Dresden-Dakar-Banjul Challenge
The Dresden-Banjul Organization (DBO), which has existed since 2006, supports several important projects in the Banjul area, such as the construction of hospitals and schools, as well as a carpentry workshop that trains young adults. Most of the money for the implementation of these projects comes from the auction of the vehicles they used to travel to Banjul.
The Jacob-Hoeft Foundation is pleased to have been able to contribute to such an important cause and hopes that the initiative can continue for many years to come!

LOAN Foundation: A new school for Ban Trang in North Vietnam
Ban Trang is located at an altitude of 1,000 meters and is one of the poorest villages in northern Vietnam. It is located in a completely isolated community in an area that is difficult to access. Currently, 30 children of school age live in the village, who had to travel up to 14 kilometers to reach the nearest kindergarten.
Thanks to the LOAN Foundation, various school facilities could be built and the “highland children” could be provided with books and school materials.

Kids Amani
Kids Amani is a non-profit organization that provides new perspectives for people in Africa. By means of donations, partnerships and university cooperation, Kids Amani focuses on the goal of building up a broad middle class and, in the course of this, enabling equal opportunity education for children and adults. The association does not simply pass on the money, but actively looks where help is needed in order to provide long-term support. This is done, for example, by building schools or training urgently needed craftsmen.

We guarantee all donated resources are being used for the right purpose.
For non-local projects, e.g. LOAN Foundation or Kids Amani, a representative from Germany will regularly check and oversee the projects on-site. This is to make sure that the monies donated are being used for the purpose intended and to avoid corruption. For more information or funding request, feel free to contact us.
